Crowns are a common dental treatment. However, Asuncion Dental Group provides an uncommon crown experience. By eliminating the “middle man” (an outside dental lab), we can make your crowns the same day, in just one visit.
At other dentists’ offices in Frederick, Maryland, and beyond, crowns would require at least two dental appointments. During the first appointment, the tooth is “prepared,” so any damaged tissue is removed and the remaining structure is reshaped. Impressions are taken, and information is collected about the tooth. This information is then sent to a dental lab, which uses it to make your crown. While the crown is being made, you wear a fragile temporary one. The waiting period can take several weeks. Once the permanent crown is ready, you return to the office for another appointment. The temporary is removed, and your permanent crown is cemented to the tooth.
Simple! We have created our own dental lab of sorts. Dr. Asuncion has invested in CEREC software and special technologies, which allow us to handle every part of the crown process in-house. We prepare your tooth, take non-invasive scans, design your crown, fabricate it, and then cement the crown in place during a single appointment. There is no need for additional appointments when we provide you with a beautiful, strong, permanent crown during your first visit.
Yes! In fact, they provide us with superior quality control. Since we handle everything ourselves, Asuncion Dental Group assures that every crown made at our office is held to the highest quality (and safety) standards. The crowns themselves are also fabricated from a block of the highest-quality dental ceramic. This ceramic can be shade-matched to blend in perfectly with your natural teeth. It is also incredibly strong and durable. With good care, our CEREC crowns are designed and built to last.
Absolutely! Unlike other dental offices in the Frederick, Maryland area, we can also make porcelain veneers in one visit. Dr. Asuncion remembers that one of his patients was on their way to a wedding when they cracked their front tooth! He was able to save the day by making her new, stunning, and strong veneer on the spot – a feat made possible with our on-site lab capabilities.
Many of the benefits associated with our advanced approaches to dental care stem from what is actually missing from traditional treatments. We have eliminated many of the tedious, uncomfortable, and inconvenient aspects of treatment. There are no goopy, messy, imprecise impressions. There is no fragile temporary. There are no frequent return visits to our office. There is no wait for a lab in another city, state, or even country to make your crown or veneer.
We could go on and on, but we encourage you to experience the benefits for yourself. Call (301) 690-8482 (new patients) or (301) 620-8882 (existing patients) and schedule your appointment today.
