Will the treatment hurt?
It’s normal to experience discomfort initially as your teeth aren’t used to wearing aligners or under pressure. The pain will diminish as you adjust to the treatment. In time, wearing the aligners will become second nature, and you won’t think twice about their use.
How do I keep my aligners clean?
When you remove them for meals, brush them gently with a soft bristle brush and clear, liquid soap. Rinse thoroughly in warm water (never hot!) before returning them to your teeth.
Are the results of SureSmile permanent?
Yes! You may, however, need to wear a retainer at night to keep your teeth from regressing to their former position. Dr. Asuncion will brief you on how to keep your smile straight and even long-term.

In 2005, he merged his practice with Dr. Robert Broadrup, who retired after many years in dentistry. A graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School, where he was also Chief Resident in the advanced general dentistry residency program, Dr. Asuncion received his Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from the University of Maryland Medical School.
